It’s starting to feel like summer in Birch Bay! ☀️


Last weekend, we were excited to welcome back Station 49 and the Birch Bay Market by The C Shop for the summer season! The market is now open weekends from 10:00 AM–5:00 PM, featuring local artisans, handmade goods, and coastal treasures.


The C Shop’s Beach Shack Treasures is now open every weekend, and Birch Bay Carts & Rentals is officially open daily for the season!


Whether you’re wandering the shoreline, taking in the beautiful bay views, renting a golf cart or paddle board, dancing to live music, or shopping local, there are so many ways to enjoy summer in Birch Bay.


We hope you get the chance to experience the beauty of Birch Bay soon! 🌊

Heading to Birch Bay State Park for the Kids Kite Festival? WTA is offering FREE shuttle service throughout the day to help you get to the fun with ease! Spend less time parking and more time flying kites.

Kids Makers Market


This event is designed for kids ages 8–16 to sell handmade items they have created in a real market-style setting.


Young makers will gain hands-on experience setting up a booth, interacting with customers, pricing their products, and earning money from their work. All in a supportive, family-friendly environment.

Birch Bay Vogt Library Express renovations begin in June


May 21, 2026 — WHATCOM COUNTY, WASH. — The Birch Bay Vogt Library Express is another step closer to completion following the selection of a building contractor for the 1,700-square-foot library project at 7948 Birch Bay Drive. At its May 19 meeting, Whatcom County Library System's Board of Trustees awarded the approximately $1.4 million contract to Summit Construction Group Inc. of Bellingham. Osborn Architects Inc. of Lynden is the project architect. Renovation of the long-awaited community library is scheduled to begin in June. The library is projected to open to the public in January 2027.
