Save the Date for Birch Bay 2026 Summer Events! 🪁🌞⛱️

We might be biased, but there truly isn’t anywhere better than Birch Bay in the summertime. Our summer events showcase everything that makes this community special, from building sand sculptures and flying kites, to cruising Birch Bay Drive from Birch Bay State Park to Birch Bay Village. Some traditions are once-a-year spectacles, like transforming Terrell Creek into a rubber duck race track!

These events get better and more vibrant every year, and we would love for you to be a part of them.

Vendor applications are now being accepted (see below for link), and Sacha has begun scheduling meetings with members interested in event sponsorships. If you’re curious about vendor opportunities, sponsorship packages, or ways to get involved, we encourage you to reach out to Sacha directly at sacha@birchbaychamber.com.

We also strongly encourage members to participate by hosting specials, offering discounts, or planning activities at your business during event weekends. These efforts enhance the visitor experience, extend the energy of our events throughout the community, and help drive foot traffic to your location. Be sure to let us know what you’re planning so we can help promote it!

Let’s make Summer 2026 the best one yet!

Planning for our 2026 summer events is officially underway! 🌞

We’re excited to share that vendor applications are now open for the 2026 summer season. Our events bring thousands of locals and visitors to Birch Bay each year and offer a great opportunity to showcase your products, food, or services in a vibrant, beachside setting.

If you’re interested in being a vendor at one (or more!) of our summer events, head to our website to learn more, review requirements, and submit your application. We can’t wait to build another incredible

Member Spotlight of the Week

✨Blaine Public Schools Foundation✨

We are excited to highlight the Blaine Public Schools Foundation as our Birch Bay Chamber Weekly Highlight!

The Blaine Public Schools Foundation seeks to engage the entire community in strengthening the Public Schools by supporting educators and expanding resources to students, thereby expanding educational opportunities that inspire a lifelong love of learning.

Since its inception in May 2025, they have already raised $20,195, supporting initiatives such as the Grade 5 Mountain School Field trip and funding enriching activities from rotating recess clubs, including rock painting, Button Making, Chess Clinics, Dance Parties, and more.

They have a 2026 Kick-Off Fundraiser. There are tickets for $20 that will enter you into a raffle that draws on March 4th for 4 Seahawks tickets, a free night stay at Embassy Suites, and prizes from Roadrunner Express Car Wash, Bordertown Pizza, Community Boating Center, Moonberri, and more!

Leadership Whatcom

A Program Worth Exploring

At the Birch Bay Chamber, we believe strong communities are built by informed, engaged leaders. That’s why we’re proud to share that all three Birch Bay Chamber staff members have participated in Leadership Whatcom, and each of us found it to be an incredibly rewarding and eye-opening experience.

Leadership Whatcom offers a deep dive into the systems, challenges, and opportunities that shape Whatcom County. From local government and public safety to economic development and community health, the program provides meaningful access to leaders and behind-the-scenes perspectives you simply can’t get anywhere else.

There are a few important dates coming up:

  • Community Conversation – April 17th: A chance to engage in thoughtful dialogue on key issues impacting our region.

  • Graduation – May 15: We’re especially excited to share that our very own Visitor Center team member, Mary Jane Thompson, will be graduating with this year’s cohort!

  • Registration Now Open for the Next Cohort: If you’ve ever considered applying, now is the time.
  • Early registration ends June 15
  • Final registration deadline is September 4

We strongly encourage anyone interested in growing their leadership skills, expanding their network, and deepening their understanding of Whatcom County to look into this program.

If you’d like to hear more about our personal experiences, please don’t hesitate to reach out to any of us individually. We’re happy to share what we gained from the program and why we think it’s such a valuable opportunity.
