CONGRATS TO OUR MEMBER OF THE MONTH - OCTOBER
Congrats to our Member of the Month for October 2021!
Meridian Towing!
We couldn't have made it through the summer without the help of Guy and his team at Meridian Towing! They are wonderful to work with and helped us haul the event trailer & flatbed trailer all around Birch Bay for our events this summer!
Thank you Meridian Towing for all of your hard work this summer!
NATIONAL NIGHT OUT RECAP:
Our 2nd National Night Out Safety Parade last night was so much fun!
A huge shout out to Neighborhood Deputy Derek Jones for organizing the event this year! Derek even brought cookies and sodas for everyone to take with them on the parade route!
This year we were joined by Whatcom County Sheriff's Department, North Whatcom Fire & Rescue, Blaine Police Department, Phillips 66 - Ferndale Refinery, Lummi Nation Police Department & Blaine-Birch Bay Park & Recreation District 2, we thank them for their service and their participation.
National Night Out focuses on community and raising awareness through camaraderie. By improving area relationships, the hope is to make our neighborhoods safer. Shining a spotlight on community emergency response programs, National Night Out increases connections between those who serve and their neighborhoods.
WCLS HOSTING BIRCH BAY VOGT COMMUNITY LIBRARY INFORMATION SESSIONS WITH CHRISTINE PERKINS
Whatcom County Library System Executive Director Christine Perkins will host four online community meetings to share information and to answer your questions about the proposed Birch Bay Vogt Community Library.

People who live within the boundaries of the proposed Library Capital Facility Area (LCFA) will vote Nov. 2 to determine if they will fund construction of the 7,600 square-foot library through property taxes.

All sessions are online via the Zoom video platform. Pre-registration is required. Visit wcls.org/happenings and choose one of the four dates (or click a date above). We will email a link to you prior to the meeting. The first session will be recorded and shared on the library system’s website, wcls.org/birchbay

Visit wcls.org/birchbay to see a fly-through animation of the proposed library, design schematics, a project overview, and a map of the proposed LCFA’s boundaries. We hope to see you at an information session.
