Bike Safety Course on National Bike Anywhere Day Recap
Thanks to Whatcom Smart Trips, Blaine-Birch Bay Park & Recreation District 2, Tay's Safety, Neighborhood Deputy Derek Jones & Whatcom County Sheriff's Department for putting together this awesome event for the kids! On May 21st we welcomed 21 children and their families on National Bike Anywhere Day. Children got to learn valuable safety skills on the course and interact with some of our local officers. Each kid got an awesome blinking light from Tara at Tay's Safety to help keep them extra safe this summer on their bikes!
Berm Information
Berm Task Force:
Community Feedback
In an effort to have a community conversation regarding the use/uses of the new berm pathway, we are asking for your suggestions and comments.
The original planned 4-foot wide pathway was later approved in the permitting process to be 10 to 12 feet wide. The Whatcom County Bicycle- Pedestrian Advisory Committee is aware of our community effort and will assist us as we form a recommendation.
The Birch Bay Chamber Task Force will help lead the discussion and work with the County on any ordinance needed.
If you would like to provide your feedback, please click the button on the left.
