Check out these Smart Irrigation and Landscaping Tips to conserve water, save costs, and enhance your garden. These simple strategies are beneficial to your lawn as well as the environment. A reminder to:


  • Water your lawns early, before sunrise or after sunset
  • Reduce irrigation, especially if you see runoff
  • Allow your soil to partially dry in between waterings
  • Upgrade to weather-based irrigation controllers if possible

Blue Zone Zen Includes Adding Quiet Space

A Time For Privacy and Break From Concentration

One objective in our Marina Coast Water District Blue Zone Certification was to designate a space in the office where employees can relax. The space was created by staff for use in "downshifting."


To shed stress and lower risk of disease, the Blue Zones Research shows that rest is vital for reawakening our brains and bodies. We even added markers. 🖍️

District Awarded Excellence in Financial Reporting

Our Commitment To Financial Transparency

For the 15th year in a row, the Marina Coast Water District has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its FY 2021-2022 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR).

 

The Certificate of Achievement is the highest recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting and confirms our commitment to providing expert financial planning, management, and reporting.

 

The District recognizes Mary Lagasca, CPA, Director of Administrative Services, and Tamela Hatfield, Accounting Supervisor, for their excellent work in preparing the award-winning financial report.
