With great joy we announce the birth of Sydney Margaret Preston Olivo to Catherine and the Rev. Andy Olivo, yesterday, Dec. 15, at 4:09 PM.
The Rev. Andy Olivo is rector of St. Elizabeth's, Ridgewood. He writes, "Sydney and her mother are both doing very well, and her father is in love. We look forward to introducing Sydney to her siblings, Charles and Mary Claire, and to her church and diocesan family in the coming days."

O God, you have taught us through your blessed Son that whoever receives a little child in the name of Christ receives Christ himself: We give thanks for the blessing you have bestowed upon the Olivo family in giving them Sydney to be their daughter and sister. Confirm their joy by a lively sense of your presence with them, and give them calm strength and patient wisdom as they seek to bring this child to love all that is true and noble, just and pure, lovable and gracious, excellent and admirable, following the example of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
