2023 is an exciting year for WTLO and Somerset 106!
We are so proud of the heritage of WTLO, proudly serving Somerset since 1958 with local news, information, and entertainment. The Dial-A Deal program has been a staple of our community for decades connecting buyers and sellers and creating some memorable characters and conversations.
Somerset 106 strives hard to super-serve our community with local programming to inform, support and entertain. We strive daily to promote local organizations, events, and people in our community. From the business community to local non-profit and civic organizations, Somerset 106 works hard to be that connection that bridges gaps and draws people together.
All of us at Forcht Broadcasting are so very proud of WTLO and Somerset 106!

It is so exciting to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Somerset 106 and the 65th anniversary of WTLO Radio in 2023!
Forcht Broadcasting Radio & Digital is proud to serve our local, hometown communities with live and local radio shows and programming. We love our time with our listeners and sharing stories about our community, our partners, and our music. Over the years, our stations have become digital marketing groups, and we’ve continued to believe in the power of our radio to reach our listeners. Our stations have called Somerset and Lake Cumberland home for a collective 80 years! Thank you to our listeners and partners for your support! Happy Anniversary, 106 and WTLO!

The PCDC youth camp is designed for team building and leadership skills. The camp is for any child between the ages of 11 and 14 in the community, not just those who have a parent that's incarcerated. | |

June 10, 2023 - Preschool Palooza Live Remote | |
Amy Stroud was live and on location at the Preschool Palooza on Saturday, June 10. Preschool Palooza, an event put on by the Pulaski County Community Early Childhood Council was a free, family event with special guest the Kentucky Science Center. There were interactive STEM station, exhibits, demonstrations, a United Way story station, door prizes and giveaways!

June 16, 2023 - Estepp's Shell Live Remote | |
Kevin Wilson was live and on location at Estepp's Shell for the Shell Summer Kick-off. The #22 Shell Pennzoil Ford Mustang NASCAR Cup Series Race car was on site as well as a couple racing simulator pods! Pepsi also gave away samples of new products!

June 17, 2023 - Nancy Bike Night Live Remote | |
Kevin Wilson was live and on location in Nancy for the first Nancy Bike Night! Approximately 500 motorcycles attended the family friendly event! There were also food trucks, a swap meet, and vendors. AND THEY GAVE AWAY A HARLEY!

June 17, 2023 - Lake Cumberland Juneteenth Jubilee Facebook Live | |
Kate Smith was on location at the Lake Cumberland Juneteenth Jubilee on Saturday, June 17th. Juneteenth is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. Deriving its name from combining June and nineteenth, it is celebrated on the anniversary of the order by Major General Gordon Granger proclaiming freedom for enslaved people in Texas on June 19, 1865.
This year's Juneteenth, held at the Pulaski County Judicial Center plaza, was organized by the Lake Cumberland Diversity Collective in partnership with Unity Allies. The family-friendly celebration included food, music, special speakers, vendors, and more. Kate interviewed Chase Carson from Unity Allies about what this event means to our community.

June 20, 2023 - Baptist Health Medical Group Primary Care in Somerset Open House & Live Remote | |
Kevin Wilson was live and on location at the Baptist Health Medical Group Primary Care Somerset Open House on June 20. Guests were greeted with food and a chance to win a cooler packed with items. The Group stated they are focused on providing quality care close to home. Their services include everything from well visits and disease prevention, to caring for urgent or chronic conditions. They are accepting new patients and are ready to form a healthy partnership with you and your family. Walk-in appointments available.
