Mrs. Erwin Wilde recently dedicated a bench on the NCWU campus in honor of her late husband, Dr. Sim O. Wilde. Dr. Wilde joined the education faculty at Wesleyan in 1966. He later became professor of education and chairman of the Division of Education and Experimental Programs. Dr. Wilde also served as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Academic Dean until his retirement from the College in 1982. The bench, located outside the front entrance of Pearsall Hall where Dr. Wilde's office was located, is dedicated to both Dr. Wilde and to his late daughter, Dina Wilde-Ramsing.
