NC Wesleyan Breaks Ground on New Shaw Learning Center

On Tuesday, March 1, North Carolina Wesleyan College broke ground on its new Shaw Learning Center. This facility was made possible by funds the College received from the Nancy A. Shaw trust. Dr. Shaw was a successful physician with ties to Nash County. Her trust's primary focus was to benefit the health and care of cats.

"NC Wesleyan is very thankful for the generosity of Dr. Nancy Shaw. The Nancy Shaw Trust will continue to help Wesleyan and our students by funding both science initiatives and innovative ideas that support the care of felines," noted President Dr. Evan D. Duff. Read more.

Nu Gamma Phi - The Return

North Carolina Wesleyan College has brought back an important part of its history-the Nu Gamma Phi Brotherhood. Nu Gamma Phi (NGP) is a local fraternity found only at NCWC. It was the first student group, first integrated student group and first Greek organization on campus. For decades, the organization was interwoven with the College and men from NGP went on to be doctors, lawyers, researchers in academia and much more. In the early 2000s, the organization was discontinued. Now a new chapter of NGP men are ready to carry on the legacy.

NCWC Receives Lonnie & Carol Poole Family Foundation Grant

North Carolina Wesleyan has received a $250,000 grant from the Lonnie & Carol Poole Family Foundation. These funds will provide NCWC the ability to improve the overall student experience by renovating classroom, bathroom and office space throughout the College's campus.

"The College is extremely grateful for the Lonnie & Carol Poole Family Foundation's grant that will enable us to make some needed upgrades to our campus. These improvements contribute to the unique Wesleyan experience we provide while fulfilling our mission. Esports Thrives at NC Wesleyan

The Bishop Gaming Association (BGA) is North Carolina Wesleyan College's co-ed Esports Program. Established in September 2019, the BGS has quickly become the College's largest student club with 89 current members. The Program is categorized into three different entities: the Elite Team, Productions and the Club. Read more.

Reserve Your Wesleyan Memorial Brick

Students, organizations, parents, alumni, and community supporters now have the opportunity to inscribe their names at North Carolina Wesleyan College. The Office of Advancement is selling bricks to be placed at the entrance located at the south end of the Pearsall Library addition, or at the Leon Russell Chapel entrance. Your brick will be a permanent tribute on the NCWC campus and a special way to support NCWC. A brick is a wonderful opportunity to honor a mentor, memorialize a loved one, commemorate an occasion or event, or simply make public your support to NCWC.
