Freshman Grandparent Mass & Reception is Aug. 22
Bishop Chatard invites all grandparents of freshmen students to join us on Thursday, Aug. 22, for a special Mass and reception. Check-in begins at 8:15 a.m, and the Mass begins at 9 a.m, with the reception immediately following. Parents are asked to RSVP for grandparents. Click here for parking information, and other details. Attention Freshman Parents: Freshman Day of Reflection Information
Freshmen Day of Reflection will be held on Thursday, Aug. 22 , immediately following the Freshman Grandparent Mass. On that day, freshmen students are asked to meet promptly at 7:50 a.m. in the cafeteria. Students should come dressed in their school uniform but are welcome to change into BCHS spiritwear shirts and casual shorts/pants following the Freshmen Grandparents Mass & Reception. The day will be full of faith, friends, and fun! Lunch will be provided. Please contact Cathy Dolan at  cdolan@bishopchatard.org concerning any dietary restrictions. The day will conclude at the regular school dismissal time.

BCHS is using DirectorySpot again for this year’s Student Directory. If you do not want your student's information in the directory, please fill out this form by Monday Sept. 2.
BCHS Social Worker
Bishop's Chatard's social's worker, Becky Wilde, is on campus Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays during the school year. Her office is located in the 2nd floor main office area. Fall Sport Yard Signs
Support your Trojan athlete with a yard sign! Yard signs orders for Fall sport athletes are being taken through Tuesday, Aug. 27. Complete your form and submit with payment to the Athletic Office by that date. More information and the order form are available here.
Sign up today for Senior Portraits!
Attention parents of seniors: The sign-up form to select a time for your student's senior yearbook portrait is open. Every senior needs to sign up to have a picture taken. "Exploring" Your Career
"Exploring" is a unique career exploration program that provides students with opportunities to learn about a wide variety of career fields and network with professionals already working in those fields. Local partner businesses and organizations initiate Explorer "Posts," ongoing regularly scheduled classes/interactive programs, by matching their staff and program resources to the interests of young people, and provide hands-on and interactive character and career activities facilitated by career professionals. BCHS students may receive invitations (via email or U.S. mail) to Explorer Post open houses based on a questionnaire they took last spring. Find information about the program and Posts at  www.CentralIndianaExploring.org .  
2020 Spring Break Europe Trip Callout Meeting
Planning is underway for the 2020 BCHS Spring Break Europe Trip. The 2020 trip will embark on a trip featuring the “Culture and Religion of Portugal and Spain.” The trip is open to all BCHS students, family members and alumni. There will be an informational meeting on Thursday, Sept. 19, at 6 p.m. in the BCHS Art Room to find out more about this spiritual and educational opportunity. This is an opportunity for students to learn and grow on this meaningful and history-rich Spring Break trip. Click here for more information and to RSVP for the meeting. Questions? Student Service Hour Opportunity
BCHS Home Football Game Concession Stand
Students can earn 2 or 4 service hours working in the BCHS concession stand during home game nights. The first home game and service opportunity is on Friday, Aug. 23. Students have the option to work the entire evening, from 6:30 p.m. until end of game to earn 4 service hours, or earn 2 service hours by working one of two shifts: 6:30 p.m. through halftime OR halftime until the end of the game. A portion of the proceeds for the evening goes to support BCHS trips to El Salvador. Please contact Deacon Rick at  rwagner@bishopchatard.org  if interested. 
Girls Basketball: Preseason Workouts
Girls Basketball preseason workouts for any girl interested in playing basketball this season are beginning soon. These workouts are intended for those not participating in a Fall sport and are NOT mandatory. Click here to see the dates and times. Annual Fund Dinner & Achievement Awards
Bishop Chatard friends and alumni are invited to celebrate and support BCHS at our Annual Fund Dinner. The 2019-2020 Annual Fund Dinner will be held on  Wednesday, Aug. 28 . Check-in and appetizers begin at 5:30 p.m. The program begins at 7 p.m. Featured at this dinner is recognition of this year's Achievement Award honorees. If you are interested in attending but have not RSVP'd, please email Liz Hoffman at Lhoffman@bishopchatard.org .
Study Tables are Now Open
Study  Tables provide a quiet work environment for students before and after school. All students are welcome! Study tables are open Monday morning starting at 7:30 a.m. in the Academic Resource Center and Monday through Thursday u ntil 4:30 p.m. in room 212. Job Opportunities
BCHS is currently accepting applications for a variety of job opportunities including, Coordinator of Special Events and Alumni Relations, cafeteria positions, a speech team assistant and several coaching positions. Learn more about each of these positions and how to apply here!
Meal Programs at BCHS
Breakfast and lunch are available for purchase by students at BCHS! Request special dietary needs, view menus, and read about payment options and an app offered through My Mealtime.
Save the Date: Jr. Trojan girls basketball tryouts
Tryouts are being held at Bishop Chatard on Sunday Sept. 29, for the girls Jr. Trojans winter league. This league is for girls in grades 5 - 8. Cost for the season is $150 per player. Schedules will be provided after the game schedule is set, and games will be held at various locations throughout the season.

Grades 7 and 8 will try out from 1 - 2 p.m. and grades 5 and 6 will try out from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. Grades 5 - 8 will be a true tryout with at least one team per grade level. A sign-up form for g rades 3 and 4 will be sent out at a later time. Please email Coach Katie Fisher at kfisher@bishopchatard.org with any questions. Go Jr. Trojans!
Calling all Trojan Football State Champions ... Join us Sept. 6!  
Bishop Chatard invites all football alumni who played on one of the school's 13 state championship teams to be our guest on September 6 at the Bishop Chatard vs. Roncalli game on the Trojan home field.  Click here for more information about the night's festivities and to RSVP!

2019 National Catholic Youth Conference
Join 25,000 teens from around the country for an exciting, three-day experience of prayer, community, and empowerment for Catholic youth, grades 9-12. The schedule includes general sessions, workshops, and opportunities for reconciliation, daily liturgy, and special activities such as concerts, a dance and comedy club.
