2020-2021 Registration Deposits: Due Feb. 24
To secure your student's place for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year, a registration deposit is due at BCHS no later than February 24. ($350 for one student, $500 for a family of two students or more).  For those families currently enrolled in  BCHS  FACTS online payment system (for a  current BCHS student), the payment will be set up through FACTS; all other families will need to pay via check or cash by February 24.  Click here to learn more about the registration deposits. Improv Comedy Show
Join the Balding Eagles, the BCHS Improv Comedy team, for a ‘Very Special Valentine’s Day Show’ at 7:00 p.m., Friday, Feb. 14, in the Kyle Guyton Theatre. The Chatard-A-Bration Silent Auction is now open!
Bidding is now open on hundreds of specialty items, gift baskets and unique experiences all included in this year's Chatard-A-Bration Silent Auction! Register your mobile phone with Qtego, and let the shopping begin! Check back between now and Feb. 15 -- new items are being added daily!

While we hope that you will be attending our Roaring Twenties celebration, if you can not make it to the event, you can still participate in the Silent Auction. The Roaring Twenties auction will close at 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15.

2.    Click on the “Register for Auction” button. Fill out all the fields.
3.    Watch for two text messages from Qtego, confirming your registration.
4.    Click on the link in the confirmation text message, and it will direct you to your personal online bidding page. Click on any item to see a photo, read a description and place your bid.

Community Service Day
Permission slips due to Campus Ministry by February 24
Community Service Day is a BCHS tradition when the entire school community takes time to serve around Indianapolis at shelters, parishes, parks and other agencies. This year's Community Service Day is on March 20 . Permission slips can be completed here . All students participate in Community Service Day. Questions? TedEd Student Talks at BCHS 
Bishop Chatard will be presenting student-delivered TEDTalks on February 27 at 7 p.m. in the Kyle Guyton Theatre. Students will share their inventive ideas to improve the world. Tickets are free and can be reserved here ! C ontact Troy Cockrum at tcockrum@bishopchatard.org with questions.

Bishop Chatard Summer Camp registration is now open!  
Bishop Chatard is offering over a wide variety of sport and enrichment camps this summer. There is something for every interest! Visit Bishop Chatard's  Summer Camp Webpage  to view a list and description of camps, along with details about camp dates, age ranges, cost, available discounts and access to our camp registration page. Early Bird rates in effect until March 20!

Bishop Chatard uses the ACTIVE Online Software for camp registration. If you have registered campers in the past, you will sign in using your username and password. New users will be prompted to create an account when completing their first camp registration. We look forward to seeing your child this summer at Bishop Chatard!
Summer Field Studies 2020
Current Bishop Chatard juniors and seniors are invited to join students from Roncalli and Cardinal Ritter for Summer Field Studies 2020: one part academics, one part adventure, one part retreat. Course Selection Sheets
Students returning next year have received their Course Selection Sheets which are to be completed, signed by a parent, and submitted to the Counseling/Guidance Office by this Friday, Feb. 14 . Please note that counselors will be meeting individually with students to confirm that selections are appropriate for diploma requirements. 
PSAT Information
All students who took the PSAT in October have now received their score reports and booklets; students have been instructed to access their scores online and take advantage of related resources including test prep, scholarship opportunities, career, major and college exploration, and more. Click here for more information!
Cultural Opportunity
Bishop Chatard is fortunate to enroll full-time international students who enrich the diversity of our student body. These students live with host families who receive financial support to provide a loving and stable environment during the school year. Bishop Chatard partners with Foreign Links Around the Globe (FLAG), a non-profit headquartered in Michigan, to bring these students, who can be from almost anywhere in the world, to our community. If you or someone you know would like more information about becoming a Host Family, please contact guidance counselor Catherine Welch at cwelch@bishopchatard.org  or extension 2257. Learn more about FLAG at  here . Thank you for considering this fulfilling opportunity!

Parent Meeting
Track and Field officially starts on Monday, February 17 ! The Parent Meeting is Tuesday, February 18, at 6:30 p.m. in the BCHS Cafeteria. Orders for the season’s warm-ups and competition running shorts are now being taken. The mandatory $50 food fee can also be paid through the form. Clothing items are available in the coach’s office to check size. Click here to view the form.
Bishop Chatard Softball Winter Camp
All softball players, grades 1 – 8, are invited to the 2020 BCHS Winter Softball Camp. Join us to learn and work on the basics of the game from our high school team and coaches. Boys Soccer

2020 Scholastic Art Awards
Trojans excel at 2020 Scholastic Art Competition!
Seven student artists at Bishop Chatard High School were honored with numerous awards in the 2020 Central and Southern Indiana Regional Scholastic Art Competition. Twelve works of art by Rachael Brown, Grace Timpe, Wyatt Prather, Kim Bowers, Hangying (Arie) Li, Lottie Ogorek and Jacob Szydlyk were chosen for distinction.

Eli Bustamante heads to Wrestling Semi-State!
Congratulations to Eli Bustamante who placed 4th in the 132 lb. class at the 2020 Wrestling Regionals on Feb. 8. He advances to Semi-State competition, which begins at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15, at New Castle.

Grace Hurley Diving
Grace Hurley dives into State!
Congratulations to freshman Grace Hurley, who placed 7th in the IHSAA Regional Diving competition on February 11, with a score of 358.50. Grace's teammates came out to cheer her on at Regionals. She advances to the State competition held on Saturday, Feb. 15. Competition begins at 9 a.m. at Indiana University Natatorium, IUPUI, 901 W. New York St., Indianapolis, with doors opening to the public at 7:30 a.m.

Camp Rancho Framasa in Nashville, Indiana, has summer camping opportunities for ages 7-19. Established in 1946, CYO Camp is an inclusive, residential camp offering three- and six-day sessions. For more information please go to  www.campranchoframasa.org .
