Honoring our Veterans  
Throughout the year, the Bishop Chatard community honors the military veterans who have served our nation, and we continue to pray for the safety of the men and women serving in today’s Armed Forces.
As a small thank you for service to our country, we will honor members of the military, along with their family members, at our annual  Veteran’s Day Mass on Thursday, Nov. 14 , at 9:55 a.m. There will be a reception in the cafeteria for all military family members and veterans following Mass. 
Service Hour Opportunity!
Join Deacon Rick Wagner this Saturday, Nov. 16, to help rake leaves (a Chatard-a-Bration silent auction item). Up to 10 students are needed and transportation will be provided. We will leave BCHS at 8 a.m. and return at 12:30 p.m. making it 5 service hours earned. Please contact Deacon Rick at rwagner@bishopchatard.org if interested.
BCHS Canned Food Drive
Nov. 8 - 14
It’s that time of year again! The annual Thanksgiving Canned Food Drive is underway from Nov. 8 through Nov. 14. All donations can be brought in before school to the main gym.
This year, the Bishop Chatard community is helping five organizations that serve some of the most vulnerable members of our Indianapolis community. Organizations need the following: Canned veggies, canned fruit, pork and beans, cereal, rice, any kind of boxed dinners, saltine crackers, canned soups, tissues, peanut butter, jelly, dried beans, canned fruit, canned pasta, spaghetti, paper towels, etc.

Join the Trinity Club in praying the rosary
All parents are invited to join the Trinity Club as they host praying the rosary at 7:50 a.m. in the Saint Benedict Center Chapel this Friday, Nov. 15 . Coffee and pastries will be served following the rosary. Please contact Stephen Patzke at spatzke@bishopchatard.org if you have questions.
Senior Directed One-Acts
Join us and see several of the senior theatre students shine! Senior Director One Acts is a collection of short plays selected and directed by BCHS Seniors coming up on Saturday, Dec. 7 in the Kyle Guyton Theatre (Room 102). Performance times are at 1 p.m., 4 p.m., and 7 p.m. Each one-act will be performed during each show. Click here to get tickets now to secure your seats. 2021 Spring Break trip planning meeting Nov. 19
While the Spring Break trip to Spain and Portugal is still months away, planning is already underway for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Germany and Italy!
An informational meeting will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 6 p.m. in the BCHS Art Room. Discounts for signing up early are available, so now is the time to consider this fabulous experience for your student or the entire family.

Alumni Lunch Presentation
Students are invited to visit with Mike Jansen '81 on November 20 during all lunch periods in the St. Benedict Center Conference Room. Mr. Jansen will be presenting on his career journey as a video producer, voice talent and stadium announcer for the Indianapolis Colts. Your student must register using his or her BCHS gmail account to attend during the scheduled lunch period. Dad's Day Breakfast
Friday, Nov. 22
Bishop Chatard Dad's Day Breakfast welcomes special guest Greg Mark as our featured speaker on Friday, Nov. 22. Greg was recently highlighted in the Archdiocesan newspaper,  The Criterion . Greg will share the story of the near-death experience that left him blind at the age of 25 — an experience that changed his life and his faith.
Greg is a former BCHS parent. His daughter and son-in-law both work at BCHS. Daughter Allison Mayer serves as the Administrative Assistant to the principal's office and son-in-law Tyler Mayer serves as Executive Vice President.
Please RSVP by noon on Monday, Nov. 18. Doors open at 6 a.m. Food lines open at 6:15 a.m. Speaker will begin at approximately 6:35 a.m. and the morning will conclude no later than 7:15 a.m. Cost is only $5 per person, payable at the door. Click here to RSVP!
Thanksgiving Day Meal Project
Bishop Chatard will again be making 350 warm Thanksgiving meals for the David S. Moore Food Pantry and other needy organizations, to be distributed on Thanksgiving Day. We need a few hands to help make this a success. 
  • Volunteers are needed for kitchen help and cleanup, service line, making desserts and delivering the meals at various times from 7:30 – 11:00 a.m. If volunteering, prepare to be flexible with the tasks.
  • Donate a dessert to the meal. Desserts can be delivered to BCHS on Tues., Nov. 26, between 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Sponsorships to help fund the meal are also being accepted.
Christmas on Crittenden
Friday, Dec. 6
Bishop Chatard alumni and community members will gather at BCHS to celebrate with their children for  Christmas on Crittenden  on Friday, Dec. 6, from 6-8 p.m. For more information on the event, click here or RSVP here.

Central Indiana Knights presents: Hat Trick for the Homeless
Saturday, Nov. 16
Come support the Central Indiana Knight's hockey team on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 6:15 p.m. at The Fuel Tank. The team will also be collecting hats for the homeless. 2019 National Catholic Youth Conference
Volunteers Needed!
Every other year, 20,000+ Catholic young people and their chaperones come together to pray, learn and grow in their faith at the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) in Indianapolis. This year’s conference will be held November 21-23 at the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium. As the host diocese, we need 1,000 volunteers throughout the three days to serve in a variety of roles. A complete list of volunteer needs including descriptions, requirements, shifts and times can be found here!
