Important Information for Wednesday, October 16
Seniors are not required to be at school Wednesday, Oct. 16 . All students in grades 9 - 11 will take the PSAT. Although this test is not required, it is a tremendous opportunity to practice the SAT. It is paid for by the state of Indiana. Juniors can qualify for the National Merit Scholarship program by attaining high scores (details in student guides).
Students are to wear school uniforms, arrive at the regular time, and go to their testing room. Students will test with their Seminar A. Please bring two non-mechanical #2 pencils and a calculator.
Students may bring snacks to eat during breaks, but are encouraged to eat a good breakfast and get a good night’s sleep. Parents are asked to not schedule doctor or dentist appointments for your students during this testing time. Students will be dismissed for the day around 11:30 a.m. Find more information on PSAT/SAT testing here!

Stop the Spread of Germs this Flu Season
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) suggests the following tips to keep our school clean during flu season. Please join us in keeping our school germ free by doing the following:

  • Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
  • If you are sick with flu-like illness, CDC recommends that you stay home for at least 24 hours after your fever is gone except to get medical care or for other necessities. Your fever should be gone without the use of a fever-reducing medicine. Please stay home if your temperature exceeds 100.
  • While sick, limit contact with others as much as possible to keep from infecting them.
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water. If soap and water are not available, use germ gel. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Germs spread this way.
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces and objects that may be contaminated with germs like the flu.

While attendance is important, we ask that you please keep sick children home for at least 24 hours to minimize the exposure of other students.

Thanks for your support!
