The Bishop Museum & Highway Inn
Highway Inn at Bishop Museum Now Open

We are very pleased to now be open at Bishop Museum.

We'll be open 7 days a week for breakfast & lunch, initially from 10:00am to 3:00pm to cater to the Museum's guests, employees and anyone who wants to stop by for lunch. We are currently located adjacent to the main entrance.

Effective October 1, 2015 Bishop Museum is implementing a $5 parking fee which won't apply to restaurant customers.

Our menu will feature several of our most popular Hawaiian Foods along with snacks, drinks and desserts tailored to the museum visitor. Plus you can earn points in our Frequent Diner program for all your purchases.

This starts Phase I of II. Phase II will be the construction and operation of a new restaurant facility facing the great lawn, starting in 2016. It will have indoor and outdoor seating and be a perfect location to enjoy the ambiance of the museum campus.

We are offering a 5pt = $5 additional sign-up bonus when you sign up for our Frequent Diner program, while presenting the card you can find at Hart's web-site from now thru November 15th, 2015.

Highway Inn at the Hawaii Food and Wine Festival's Urban Luau at the Salt block in Kaka'ako

It was tradition vs. contemporary on Wednesday 9th at the Salt Block in Kaka'ako. This Urban Lu'au put a spin on the traditional Lu'au.

Five chefs partnered with well-established local Hawaiian Food restaurants known for traditional Hawaiian food to create their version of a classic Hawaiian dish.

Chef Mike Kealoha of Highway Inn made a Koele Palau which is an Okinawan sweet potato dessert which was a favorite of Queen Liliokulani. Chef Brian Sung of Alan Wong's also created an O kinawan sweet potato dessert subbing the purple tuber for chestnuts in a Swiss dessert recipe.
