Partners in Parenting: Parent Education Event
Dr. Woodbine

O'Dowd is excited to host Dr. Onaje X.O. Woodbine for an all school assembly and a Partners in Parenting Parent Education event - "Who's Got Next? A Black Hoops Liberating Spirtuality" - on Tuesday, November 13.

The parent evening starts at 6:30 p.m., with hospitality, and the presentation begins at 7 p.m. Click this link to RSVP

Beginning with a personal account of the ways in which the motivations and humanity of black student athletes have been misunderstood, Dr. Woodbine brings his expertise in black religious thought and the study of sport and society to a rich experiential analysis of street basketball as a lens through which to view a journey of memory, grief, hope, and healing.
