In Service to Others - St. Lawrence Haven

This month we will be assembling Thanksgiving meals at St. Lawrence Haven on Monday, November 20 from  9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Please email Terri Kernan at tkernan@cdeducation.org if you would like to help.

Get To Know Bishop Watterson
Did you know Bishop Watterson offers 159 courses? We want our students to excel and find their strengths and interests en route to their future careers. We do that by offering courses -- from the arts through world languages -- that meet their needs and abilities as well as their interests!

Did you know Bishop Watterson offers 21 Advanced Placement (AP) courses and 19 honors courses? This is more than other Catholic and private schools in the Columbus area.

Bishop Watterson has been providing a variety of services for students with identified learning needs and our Dominican Program continues to be an area of growth and evolution for us. This year we are happy to announce that our Intervention Lab has a new home in room 325 and the number of intervention specialists has increased to four. May St. Dominic, St. Pius X and St. Thomas Aquinas guide us as we continue to expand these services!

Student-teacher ratio is a statistic that has been getting attention for many years. The assumption around this ratio: the smaller the ratio, the better the school.
When we determine our ratio, we include every staff member who teaches classes or works directly with students to help them achieve their academic goals, such as guidance or intervention staff. Using this criteria, Bishop Watterson
's student-teacher ratio is 11:1.
Cross Country Team Makes it to States

Bishop Watterson's boys cross country team qualified for the OHSAA State Championship race for the first time since 1981. In addition, senior Nick Kuraly earned All-State honors and the team finished 18th overall.
St. Joseph of Arimathea Society

Thirty-three young men were inducted to the BWHS St. Joseph of Arimathea Society at our All Saints Day Mass. The St. Joseph of Arimathea Society, which assists at the burial of the departed, is in its sixth year. For more information and a complete list of inductees, click here.
