Governor Lou Leon Guerrero signed Bill No. 1-36 into law on March 5th. The mandate waives business license fees between October 2020 to September 30, 2022. Businesses that have paid their business license fees between October 2020 and March 4th will receive a credit to any fees after the period waived by the provision.

The Chamber thanks Governor Leon Guerrero for signing this measure into law and the authors of the bill, Vice Speaker Tina Muna-Barnes and Senators Jose Terlaje, Tony Ada and Jim Moylan for their support of local businesses. Every little bit helps as our island recovers from the ravaging effects of the pandemic. The Chamber is encouraged by the business friendly legislation and we look forward to similar measures that will help revitalize our economy.
