Stuff the Bus with Rotary Club of Truckee

Sunday, August 23, 2026 | 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Student/Teacher Pickup
Help Stuff the Bus with the Rotary Club of Truckee and give local students the supplies they need to start school ready to learn. This community effort supports TTUSD students and families by collecting school supplies and basic student necessities.
Community members can drop off donations Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 2:00–5:00 p.m. at the TTUSD Office, 11603 Donner Pass Road in Truckee. Suggested donations include backpacks, notebooks, binders, folders, pencils, pens, crayons, colored pencils, markers, highlighters, glue sticks, scissors, rulers, erasers, pencil cases, calculators, and reusable water bottles. On Sunday, August 23, 2026, teachers, parents, and students can pick out needed supplies from 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Please help spread the word to those who may need them. Bring a bag or box for pickup.

Help Shape the Future of Commuting in the Tahoe Truckee Region!
Survey Deadline | Friday September 4, 2026
The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) and the Truckee North Tahoe Transportation Management Association (TNTTMA) are conducting a regional travel survey to better understand how employees commute to work.
Your feedback will help improve transportation planning, reduce congestion, and guide future mobility investments across the region. Eligible participants will be entered into prize drawings. Take the survey by September 4.

Meet New Member: Mind Over Mountain
We are happy to welcome new member Mind Over Mountain. For many young people, confidence isn't built in a classroom. It's built while overcoming challenges, trying something new, and discovering they're capable of more than they imagined.
That's the philosophy behind Mind Over Mountain, a Truckee-based nonprofit founded by Certified Youth Resiliency Coach Andrew Bertalan. Through outdoor adventure and life coaching, the organization helps tweens, teens, and young adults develop confidence, resilience, and the skills they need to navigate life's challenges.
Rather than relying on traditional sit-down coaching, Mind Over Mountain takes personal growth into the outdoors, where every hike, climb, paddle, and ride becomes an opportunity for learning, reflection, and self-discovery.
As a nonprofit organization, Mind Over Mountain is committed to creating meaningful experiences that support the emotional well-being and personal development of young people throughout the community.
Mind Over Mountain's mission goes beyond outdoor recreation. It is about equipping participants with practical tools they can carry into school, relationships, work, and future adventures. Help Shape Truckee's Energy Future at Work and at Home
The Town of Truckee is developing an Energy Resilience Plan and is asking community members to participate in a short survey. Input from residents and businesses will help identify strategies to improve reliability and prepare for future power outages and emergencies.
