Today we had a farm to school food tasting during lunch where students had the option to taste the veggie of the day sweet potato!
HOLIDAY GIFT GIVING
We are beginning to collect for our Narragansett Families through the JonnyCake Center. We will be collecting gift cards and gifts in the NES Office or directly to the Jonnycake Center through December 15th. We appreciate your generosity.

SPRING REGISTRATION IS OPEN TODAY !!! PROGRAM BEGINS FEBRUARY 25TH!
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of Wakefield is collecting donations for our Veterans. We are kindly asking that you donate an item, such as:  socks, slippers, calendars, soap, deodorant, hairbrushes, sweat shirts and pants, T-shirts, pajamas, night gowns, crossword / word find books, writing paper, playing cards, puzzles, gift cards, handkerchiefs, winter hats, scarves and gloves.
The donation boxes will be in the schools until December 10th, 2018.   On December 25th, many of us will be visiting the Veterans Hospital to deliver goody packages with your donations. What a great way to say thank you to our Veterans for their service, as we enjoy our freedom every day.

“Save the Elephants”
4th grade Genius Hour Project

Hello our names are Alex, Cassidy, and Jackie!
Next Thursday, December 6th, we will be selling stress balls made with balloons and there will be ten latex free balloons for those with allergies. All stress balls will be in baggies and need to be used at home. We will be selling them to 3rd and 4th graders for $1 each. This is our Genius Hour project. All proceeds will go to “donate US-Save the elephants” the cause for this is that elephants that are being endangered by humans and they are taking their tusks and elephants are dying. This is why we are raising money to donate to the elephant shelter. We hope you buy our stress balls to help the elephant shelter and to keep the elephants safe. Thank you for your time and we hope you buy a stress ball.

With the snow season beginning ever so early this year, I want you to know that if there is ever a school delay (whether it is an hour or a two hour delay) band is automatically cancelled for that morning. This helps ensure that everyone gets to school safely.

Any 9 or 10 year old boy or girl interested in playing this Saturday, December 1st in the Basketball Clinic vs. Block Island, please come for 11am to Narragansett Elementary School Gymnasium. NYBA is trying to create a couple of teams to play against Block Island for the season. Thank You!
