Dear Bixby Community,
It’s officially Fall with October and November upon us. From my perspective, it seems that families are busier now than ever before. Managing distance learning, possibly dealing with a loss of a loved one, trying to keep up with work, some looking for ways in which to engage with our children in a safe and responsible way and many other issues that we don’t have an idea of what challenges our Bixby families and teachers are experiencing.
We recognize that it just hasn’t gotten any easier for many. In this time, Bixby PTA wants you to know that we are here to support our families and teachers to ensure our kids have a good academic year. From classroom resources to out of the classroom experiences. My son shared with me the other day that he can’t wait when he can be at the school playground or at Kids Club with Ms. Ella. I am sure he is not the only child feeling this way. I have heard from 5th grade parents, the want their child or some with twins, children, to have an incredible last year of elementary school, how can we make it special for them before they become middle schooler? And many more stories that our board and room parents hear from our Bixby family.
