Black Forest Road

Construction Update

Sept. 30, 2024

Major lane shift Thursday, Oct. 3; project completion in sight

Motorists on Black Forest Road will see a major lane shift on Thursday, Oct. 3. Traffic in both directions will move to outside lanes from Woodmen Road to north of Silver Ponds Heights. One lane of traffic will be open in both directions. With this shift, new traffic signals will become active at the intersection of Black Forest Road and Research Parkway.

This is the last major lane shift for construction on the Black Forest Road project. It enables crews to work in the median and inside lanes. This precedes all lanes of traffic opening in the coming weeks.

Paving on southbound Black Forest Road is nearly complete, with

southbound traffic moving onto the new pavement on Thursday, Oct. 3.
