June 17th, 2020
The Governor has announced that as of TODAY, Wednesday, June 17th - "Phase 2 to Re-Open Connecticut" is in effect.
For us, this allows for inside dining and the use of our locker facilities. We are also happy to announce that our bag room will open for bag & cart storage.

This is all effective immediately, please read the newest details and further changes you can expect...

State requirements limit our capacity inside the dining room and outside on the patio. The safety of our staff and members is most important and has been throughout this constantly changing landscape. We would like to remind you that masks must be worn in the clubhouse AND on the patio when you are not actually eating when social distancing can't be maintained. This is a state mandate and it is for the benefit of everyone around your table and your immediate area. Please remember, you must always have a mask in your possession when you are at the club. Hand sanitizer stations are set up at each entrance to the clubhouse; along with masks, we should all be helping each other stay healthy.

While bag and push cart storage WILL be available, our staff will not be cleaning clubs and members will not be allowed to enter the basement. We ask that you find a staff member for anything you might need. A pro-rated fee for cart and bag storage will be used.

Please mind the posted capacity signs in the locker rooms as you move back in to your locker and resume the locker life. If someone is waiting to enter your section of the locker room, please be courteous about the time you are taking at your locker. A pro-rated fee for lockers will be used.

Our range is now open for full usage. Restrictions on practice times have been lifted. We remain limited on or stations for social distancing reasons, please be mindful id others are waiting to warm up.

Our new Short Game Practice Area (SGPA) has been open for over two weeks now and has received rave reviews. This operation will remain BYOB (Bring your own balls) and we ask that a maximum of three people at one time share the space.

Guest play restrictions have been lifted on weekdays. However, guests on weekend must still be after 11:00am.

The following few items remain closed; water fountains (on the course and in the clubhouse), shower facilities and our coffee room.

Golf Carts remain one rider per cart until further notice unless you live in the same household as the other golfer.
We will be returning most of our furnishings back around the clubhouse, range and on the golf course including rakes and benches. We will also be removing the ball lifting mechanisms from the pins. We are doing this as the state requirements have been removed. If you are not comfortable touching pins and rakes, we certainly respect that and would not ask you to take out the pin or to rake a bunker. For that reason our local bunker rule will remain in place: if your ball is in a human-disturbed lie, you may lift, clean and place in the bunker, closest point of relief, no nearer the hole.
Our Golf Calendar is STILL in flux, please bear with us as we carefully consider each event and whether we can responsibly deliver an enjoyable event. Please stay tuned for event news as well as updated instructional offerings. Here is what we do know...

As our world further understands the spread of COVID-19, the release of restrictions is to open businesses that have been forced to close over three months ago and for individuals to inch back to normalcy. While the spread of the virus is not likely from surface exposure, it is still very much a threat through the air. Please remain diligent to all the remaining practices in place. This area will be experiencing a growing local population now that school is out, please continue to be mindful of your own health as well as those around you.

All the best,
Curt Clemens
