Badger Precollege Online:

Badger Precollege is pleased to offer engaging online courses to students in grades 1-12.
Each live online course meets for one to two weeks and includes high-quality educational and social content to help prepare students for the college experience — all backed by the academic reputation of the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Classes are offered synchronously, meaning that students are together in the same virtual classroom at the same time. Along with synchronous instruction, courses include homework to be completed outside of class. Check out the Badger Precollege Website here for more information!

Academic and Career Planning:

On Fridays in Advisory, students participate in 3CR (College, Career, and Community Readiness) lessons and activities. The attached pdf breaks down the topics for each grade level in the Madison School District for 6th through 12th grade. At Black Hawk, we are putting a heavy emphasis on Restorative Justice and the importance of Community.
Flu Shots at the Alliant Energy Center:

Dane County adults and children over 6 months without health insurance can visit the clinic to get this year’s flu shot. The center is also open to children 6 months and older on BadgerCare and Medicaid.

The drive-thru clinic will be open Tuesdays and Thursday noon to 8 p.m. and Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The clinic is closed Sundays and Mondays..
New Virtual Learning Website:
We are pleased to share our new virtual learning resource website for families! Available in English and Spanish, this site features a variety of resources for families to access during virtual learning, including:

  • current and previous Weekly Wolf newsletters
  • grade level assignment checklists
  • contact information for Black Hawk staff members
  • support documents & videos for navigating technology during virtual learning

We hope this website is useful for you and your student(s) as we continue in virtual learning during Quarter 2. We welcome feedback and suggestions for how to improve the site as well. Thank you!


Teen Night:

Madison Parks are presenting Teen Night on the following Friday's:

12/4 and 12/11

Teen Night will be held at the Warner Park Outdoor Shelter, 1511 Northport Dr, from
3-6pm. Teens must be between 12-19 years old. Kids are welcome to come for gaming, music, free food, leadership, sports, lawn games and more!
Music Updates:

If you need your instrument tuned or adjusted in any way, bring it to any one of our weekly Curbside Tunings. Besides tuning, you can get your bow rosined and pegs adjusted. Wear a mask and drive up! You are also encouraged to read our quarter two instrumental music update.
MSCR Programming:

Tutoring Available
The Schools of Hope Tutoring Program has started! Tutors will be placed in classrooms to support student as needed.

Tutoring office hours will also be available on asynchronous Wednesdays from 11am-1pm.
