Winter Wonderland of Fun
All across Massachusetts, you'll find a winter wonderland of outdoor activities, such as skiing, ice skating and snowmobiling. Don't miss the Red Bull Crashed Ice full-contact ice skating competition at Fenway Park, or the men's and women's Beanpot Tournaments at TD Garden, featuring Boston's best collegiate hockey. Other February highlights include Black History Month to mark African-American achievement and Lunar New Year activities celebrated by Asian communities across the state. February is for fun! Everyone is talking about the brand new exhibit at the Springfield Museums called Toytopia, where everything old is new and BIG! School vacation week is in February and the Springfield Museums are planning something Magical; enjoy special shows or sign up for the Harry Potter Hogwarts Academy Training. Whether you're planning the kids' vacation week or a romantic getaway with your boo, there's no shortage of fun things to do in Western Mass! Tour Emily Dickinson's home after dark on February 7 with Candlelight & Cocoa, part of WinterFest Amherst. See the slick creations at the Northampton Ice Art Festival on February 8...or before they melt. No V-Day plans? Johnny Appleseed Country
The cold, quiet days of February provide perfect opportunities to stroll through the museums of Johnny Appleseed Country. Warm up with a tour of "Fire and Light: Otto Piene in Groton, 1983-2014" at the Fitchburg Art Museum, showcasing Piene's major threads while living at his "art farm" in Groton. Or explore the contemporary paintings of Russian-American artist and designer Alexander Gassel at the Museum of Russian Icons in Clinton. Take the time to tour the museums' own collections, and forget the chill outside!

Martha's Vineyard 
The Martha's Vineyard 20 Miler on Saturday February 16 is a must-race, whether you're a highly competitive athlete looking for a test of your Boston marathon readiness, or a dedicated recreational runner looking to combine a visit to one of the East Coast's most beautiful Islands with a race on a fast, USATF certified course. Not quite up to the 20 mile challenge? Grab a partner and enter the Amity Island Relay (2x10 miles)!

Mohawk Trail Region
The Susan B. Anthony Birthplace Museum and The Adams Historical Society invite you to celebrate Susan B. Anthony's 199th Birthday on Sunday, February 17 at 3 pm at the Adams Free Library, 92 Park Street in Adams. Presented will be "I Can't Die But Once," a performance by Harriet Tubman as portrayed by Gwendolyn Quezaire-Presutti, an award-winning living history performer of 20 years. Salem's So Sweet Chocolate & Ice Sculpture Festival will be celebrated February 8-10! Join in this decadent tradition of delectable chocolate, sparkling ice sculptures, and Valentine's Day shopping. On February 9, join Newburyport and Amesbury at the Merrimack River Eagle Festival to celebrate the return of the Bald Eagles to the Merrimack Valley. Plymouth County

Spire Center for the Performing Arts in Plymouth presents a February Vacation class in Film Making from February 18-February 22 (9 am to 5 pm each day). Students will learn the mechanics of shooting a short movie - from being behind the camera or behind the scenes working as the director, camera operator, sound person, make up, hair and more. Students will also have an active role in the movie making script written by the "Screen Writing" class. "Whoever said orange is the new pink was seriously disturbed." - Elle Woods. The Zeiterion Performing Arts Center is proud to present the national Broadway tour of Legally Blonde, The Musical! Follow Elle Woods on her journey from sorority girl to Harvard Law. High Mud Comedy Fest, MASS MoCA's yuk-fest, returns to North Adams for a foolishly funny weekend March 29-30. An annual salute to a few funny things, gathering world champion comedians to enlighten you with humor in this heightened moment. Rock funnyman Judah Friedlander and comedy queen Michelle Buteau headline. It's a festival! Take your time exploring North Adams and MASS MoCA...you never know where laughs might pop up throughout the weekend.

Celebrating its 18th year, the Taste of Nashoba has been an annual event showcasing the best restaurants, caterers, bakeries, and breweries from the region to thousands of attendees. Central Massachusetts

Discover love in Central Massachusetts! Begin the month by joining Rapscallion Brewery on February 2-3 for their annual Winterfest in Sturbridge. Enjoy the sounds of African music and culture on February 7 with Crocodile River Music's African Music Series in Worcester. Throw back to your adolescence and attend Worcester Youth Orchestra's Valentine's Dance with your special someone on February 8. Listen to the sounds of Britten, Messiaen & Fauré on February 24 as Worcester Schubertiade performs Winter Words at Mechanics Hall. Finish off the month with Michael Bublé, as he performs at the DCU Center on February 26 at 8 p.m.

Franklin County
Greenfield Winter Carnival will be held February 1-3 in downtown Greenfield! This year's event celebrates Winter's Majesty. Kicking off the weekend is live downtown ice carving, followed by the Parade of Lights that travels through Main Street, Fireworks over the iconic Poet Seat Tower and a Winter Carnival. The fun continues throughout the weekend with a Family Fun Fest, Sleigh Bell Run, cribbage tournament, Breakfast with Olaf, Cardboard Sled Race, Vintage Snowmobile Show, K9 Keg Pull, Chili Cook-Off, and so much more! Greater Boston
Choices for theatre and dance buffs include Beautiful, Mark Morris, School of Rock, Little Foxes, American Girl LIVE and the annual CRASHfest. The Boston Symphony features a robust lineup of performances, while the city's jazz clubs ward off the winter blues. Boston's native son Sargent & Fashion are on view at the MFA, William Forsythe's: Choreographic Objects at the ICA and Destination Mars awaits you at the Museum of Science. Visitors can quench their thirst at the Extreme Beer Fest or sip fine wines at the Boston Wine Festival. Black History Month is celebrated all February long and festivities for the Year of the Pig take to the streets of Chinatown. The Bean Pot and Disney's Mickey's Search Party take to the ice at TD Garden, and Fenway Park gets in on the winter fun when downhill skaters race to the finish line for Red Bull's Crashed Ice. Cape Cod
On Saturday, February 9, the quaint Osterville village of Barnstable sweetens the season with Osterville Chocolate Fest, featuring a chocolate dessert contest, dog parade, chocolate manicures, book signings, retail promotions and more. The Cape Symphony leads you down the yellow brick road on February 9-10 as the orchestra partners with Cotuit Center for the Arts to perform the original lush Harold Arlen score and script of "The Wizard of Oz." On March 22-24, the annual Boatbuilders Show on Cape Cod returns to the Resort and Conference Center at Hyannis! Explore a large selection of unique, custom and limited-production boats in wood and fiberglass.
