"This Poison Heart follows Briseis whose family owns a plant shop and ironically enough, Briseis has plant magic. Adopted to a lovely yet chaotic "un-magical" couple, Briseis gets a surprise of a lifetime! Her maternal birth aunt died and willed her estate in rural New York to her, and the answers as to why she has this magic are finally within reach. Briseis is a young Black woman finding the source of her power and who she is outside and inside of her power. It was a lovely read! I highly recommend it!"
