February is recognized as Black History Month. This is a nationwide celebration of the achievements of African Americans and a time to recognize their role in U.S. history. Since 1976, each U.S. president has designated the month of February as Black History Month. This month is an important time for all of us to reflect on the achievements of African Americans throughout history and today.
