Over the past couple weeks, members of the UCSF community have united in calls to address systemic racism in town halls and demonstrations, both planned and spontaneous, sparked by the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis on May 25. For many, it has compounded the painful realities of the disproportionately high death toll of blacks due to police violence and the coronavirus pandemic.
