Excerpts of W.E. Op-Ed:
The role of the media as "The Fourth Estate" is critical as the Trump Administration's plans are underway to destroy our U.S. democracy and replace it with a totalitarian dictatorship attempting to be "King Forever."
Trump and Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas — who obviously did not replace Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, given Thomas' recent decision on the Voting Rights Act and other rulings more aligned with Stepin Fetchit-style "good ole boy" White Supremacy ideology, representing the executive and judicial branch are eating away the fabric of even an attempt at "The Beloved Community" spoken of by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., U.S. Congressman "Good Trouble" John Lewis and Josiah Royce. "The Beloved Community" fundamentals of justice, equal opportunity, fairness, nonviolence, compassion and reconciliation rather than revenge are flickering as the winds of change increase velocity to destroy the good they generate.
...The Honorable Pamela Price's promise to provide justice for all — including ensuring that juveniles would not be tried in adult court unceremoniously, and that law enforcement officers were not above the law and would be held accountable — was stripped from Alameda County with the recall. Recall papers were filed by her opponents eight months after she was sworn in.... Jackie Wright
Connecting the dots…And Follow the Money…
"…Jones Dickson has, since her appointment, set six teens, aged 14 to 17 years old, for trial as adults—double the number of children tried as adults over the previous 10 years.
…Jones Dickson has received a $20,000 contribution from Tom Orloff for the upcoming election. Orloff spent his career trying to convict members of the Black Panther Party, most especially Party founder Huey P. Newton, stating upon learning of the death of Huey: "Newton played no positive role in the community…[He was] nothing more than a gangster."
…Former County D.A. Nancy O'Malley has contributed over $5,000 to Jones Dickson. O'Malley, Orloff's protégé, refused to reopen the Oscar Grant BART police murder case and charge the second BART cop involved in Oscar's murder, Anthony Pirone, who held Oscar down on the BART platform while the shooter cop shot him in the back and killed him."
