MANDATORY SCHOOL-BASED COVID-19 TESTING. Students in grades 3K through 5 who are returning to in-person learning beginning on Monday, December 7 must submit the consent form for in-school COVID-19 testing. **Even if you have previously done so, the DOE is encouraging families to re-submit a new consent form** Learn more about mandatory COVID-19 testing and submit a consent form >>

.WEBINAR. TURNING 5: KINDERGARTEN ADMISSIONS. All NYC children born in 2016 have the right to start kindergarten in September 2021, and all families, including families of children have disabilities, are encouraged to fill out the application. This workshop will cover the process for applying to DOE public schools, including tips for researching schools, ways to submit an application, understanding how school offers are made, what to do when you get an offer, and more. GET COVERED: NY STATE OPEN ENROLLMENT PERIOD FOR PURCHASING HEALTH INSURANCE. From now until January 31, you can enroll for health insurance on NY State of Health's marketplace website. On the same website, you can check your family's eligibility for children's Medicaid or Child Health Plus. For coverage that begins January 1, you must enroll by December 15.
