Nottoway Homecoming #4 Music Festival Set for August 2


The Nottoway Homecoming #4 Music Festival will take place on Saturday, August 2, from 2-7 p.m. at Burkeville Park, located at 204 West Nunnally St., Burkeville, VA 23922.


The festival will feature live performances by the Soul Expressions Band and The Legend Nutcracker. Food vendors will include Yarnell's Perfect Planning, Paris Inn - Crewe Dine Inn, offering a pig roast and seafood boil.


Pre-sale tickets are $45 and can be purchased via CashApp ($HELENHMS), Zelle, or PayPal. Tickets at the door will be $50.

IRS, national partners launch EITC Awareness Day on 50th anniversary of the Earned Income Tax Credit


EITC has helped America’s working families since 1975


The Internal Revenue Service and partners around the nation today celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) with the launch of this year’s EITC Awareness Day campaign.



The annual campaign, now in its 19th year, helps increase awareness among the millions of working Americans with a low-to-moderate income who are eligible for the EITC. The IRS estimates that roughly one in five eligible taxpayers miss out on claiming this valuable credit.
