Meet the new faces at Blackstone!
Allison Wakefield joins Blackstone's Overland Park, Kansas office as the Marketing Coordinator. She was born and raised in Mound City, Kansas, and graduated from Kansas State University with a B.S. in Agricultural Communications & Journalism. Her experiences in college include being the Communications & Marketing Intern for the Center for Rural Enterprise Engagement, lead editor on the award winning K-State Agriculturist magazine, and the program designer for the Equifest of Kansas program. When she isn't working, Allison enjoys being outside with her cows and horses as well as hunting, fishing, and hiking with her friends and family.
Julia Krist joins Blackstone's Overland Park, Kansas, office as a Project Engineer. She was born in and raised in Bettendorf, Iowa, and graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Environmental Engineering and Sustainability Certificate. Julia's experience involves her being the project lead intern at the University of Iowa Office of Sustainability and the Environment, a student researcher at the Center for Health Effects of Environmental Contamination. In her free time Julia enjoys reading, camping, rock climbing, and hanging out with her friends and family.
Ben Burleson joins Blackstone's Overland Park, Kansas, office as an Environmental Geologist. Ben originates from Bolivar, Missouri, and graduated from Missouri State University with a degree in Geology. Ben has worked in previous positions as a staff geologist. When he isn't working, Ben enjoys riding dirt bikes, camping, and hiking.
Jack Murphy joins Blackstone in the Moline, Illinois, office and will be serving as an Environmental Scientist. Jack is originally from Dekalb, Illinois, and graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Environmental Science and a minor in Geology. Jack's education consisted of hydrogeology, stratigraphy, sedimentary lab work, and a variety of water quality classes. In his previous work experience he served as an aquatic service technician for a lake and pond management company where he was responsible for treating algae and weed growth. In his free time Jack enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and biking, as well as rooting for the Chicago Bears.
