Theresa Ferguson, PG joins Blackstone's Overland Park, Kansas office as a Senior Project Manager. Theresa originates from Union, Missouri, and graduated from the Missouri University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering. She is a professional geologist with current licenses in Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska with over 20 years of experience. Theresa has worked for both the private and public sectors, managing large and small-scale petroleum and environmental-related projects. She is a member of the Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists and has served as co-chair for the annual Kansas Hydrology Seminar for the last eight years.

Eric Sonsthagen, PE joins Blackstone as a Senior Project Manager in our newest office in Omaha, Nebraska. Eric is originally from Denver, Colorado, and graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering with an Environmental Option from the University of Wyoming. Eric has practiced solid waste and environmental engineering consulting for the past 18 years across North America serving public and private clients. His professional experience includes permitting, design, and construction oversight of landfill cell construction, landfill closures, and landfill gas extraction systems.

In his spare time, Eric enjoys doing jigsaw puzzles and spending time with his family as they work their way through the Marvel movies in chronological order.

Dalton is now officially an Associate Wildlife Biologist (AWB). This is one step in the process of becoming a fully Certified Wildlife Biologist! We are excited for Dalton to bring this new avenue to Blackstone!

Julia has officially become an Engineer in Training (EIT). We are happy to have her on staff with all of the hard work she puts into our projects! Congratulations!

Kyle Kukuk, Senior Project Manager and Overland Park Operations Lead, also celebrated 10 years with Blackstone in March of 2022. Kyle was given the same five-star treatment as Rowley. A crystal award, a bottle of whiskey, and taken out to lunch by the Overland Park staff.

We are thankful to have such great staff like these two men!

The day-and-a-half event was spent with a variety of sessions on financials, contract review, health and safety, and highlights of various projects and programs we have. We also had some time to relax and catch up over drinks, food, and bowling! We crowned Austin Quick as our Blackstone bowling champion with a high score of 176 and rewarded our lowest score, Theresa Ferguson, with a prize for her efforts (we won't mention her score).
