November 30, 2020

We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, even if it didn't look like other years. I successfully prepared a full Thanksgiving dinner for the first time for my family of four. It was a silver lining to a quieter than usual holiday. I hope you also had your own silver linings.

This week marks the last few days of our virtual Holiday Magic Toy Drive. Please look below for the wish list links if you still plan to give. Thank you to everyone who has already donated toys.

Due to the short holiday week, I am late sending out this edition, but we will be back to normal next week. As always, please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.

Warm regards,
Market Update
Stocks surged last week, ignited by another COVID-19 vaccine announcement, encouraging economic data, and the easing of political uncertainty. Read more about last week's market and economy news.

Roth Conversions
Clients who complete a Roth conversion during the last quarter of 2020 may need to report their taxable income and/or pay estimated taxes in January. For more information, read this article by Dale Brown, CPA, and contact your accountant regarding your specific situation. Blattel & Associates does not render legal, accounting, or tax advice.
Virtual Holiday Magic Toy Drive
Our annual Holiday Magic Toy Drive is going on now until December 4. Please consider donating toys for distribution to needy and unhoused children in our community by giving directly via the Amazon and Target wish lists we created. Thank you for considering supporting the virtual Holiday Magic Toy Drive—we couldn’t do this without you!

Year-End Reminder
Please remember that the holiday season will affect timing on withdrawals and other transactions. Please allow for extra time to process your requests from now until the end of the year. Also, be aware that there are typically deadlines ahead of December 31 for certain activities to be reported for the 2020 tax year.
