According to the Gospel of John 19:33, when Jesus was dying on the cross "one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and at once there came out blood and water." The celebration of the Sacred Heart is associated with the physical sacrifice, the mystery of both blood and water pouring from Christ's chest, and the devotion God asks from humankind. Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is devotion to Jesus Christ Himself.
Jesus’ Heart goes out to you. He does not hide his love.
Devotion to the Sacred Heart is the top devotion of all devotions. It is the awareness of God’s love that inspires all prayers and devotions. It’s the mystery of God’s love for us as His Heart continues to reach out for us. His heart was open and always remains open for all of us.
The Heart of Jesus is the fountain of love that seals our hearts to achieve our destiny. Our God has a deep desire to unite his heart with our own. Your prayers, attitude, and reflection will foster and deepen your relationship with the Heart of Christ!
The mystery of the Sacred Heart drove Mother Cabrini to understand human hearts and to respond in concrete ways as an instrument of God’s love.
In the Gospel of Matthew 11:28-30 Jesus invites us: “Come to me, all of you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart: and you will find rest for yourselves, for my yoke is easy and my burden light.”
