Traces of the Trade
In Traces of the Trade, Katrina Browne tells the story of her forefathers, the largest slave-trading family in U.S. history. Given the myth that the South is solely responsible for slavery, viewers will be surprised to learn that Browne’s ancestors were Northerners. The film follows Browne and nine fellow family members on a remarkable journey which brings them face-to-face with the history and legacy of New England’s hidden enterprise. Read more about the film here: http://www.tracesofthetrade.org/.

Join us on October 6 & 13 at 6 PM via Zoom as we discuss this film together on Zoom. Producer/Director Katrina Browne will join us on Zoom for the second session. Please let us know if you will attend: https://forms.gle/uZgE1dJH2e4LPsqF7

Sunday Morning Adult Forum
12:30 PM // Sunday
Please not that the Adult Forum has moved to 12:30 PM.
The Adult Forum has started a study of Jim Wallis' book, America’s Original Sin: Racism, White Privilege, and the Bridge to a New America. The book makes a spiritual statement: our racial diversity and social pluralism are a great strength and a gift for our future, because our primary identity is as the children of God—all of us are created in God’s image. The study, led by Birdie Jones, will look at underlying racial injustices, misunderstandings, and conflicts and how to find the truth together in these difficult, challenging, and complicated matters of race in America.
