Pastor Trudy's Message

The most successful prophet EVER! We are going to hear the story of Jonah, a prophet of God who, arguably, is the most successful in that an entire country listens to him, repents and begins to live for God. Jonah must be so excited and happy...right?

Holy and mighty God, we name success in many ways, mostly relating to measurable accomplishments. Help us to see that all that we have and all that we are is grounded in Your gifts to us. In Jesus' name, Amen.

WONDERING...

Real questions from real people to learn more about faith.

What do I do with post election anxiety, anger, or relief?

• We pray for hope and redemption.
• We pray for the protection of forests and woodlands.
• We pray for those who hold positions of power.
• We pray for all who are experiencing uncertainty about their physical health, or who struggle with mental health or addiction, or who are healing from surgeries or recovering from accidents.
• We pray for those who are lost and questioning.
• We pray to follow in the footsteps of the faithful before us.
• We pray for the Making Space Campaign.

We entrust all our prayers, spoken and unspoken to you. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Many have asked about collections for Hurricane relief. ELCA pastors in North Carolina have been asking that people not send anything that is not specifically asked for and that monetary donations to local organizations is the best thing to do. Click HERE for a list of organizations from a pastor in North Carolina.
