Amazing Accomplishments
Folks... the Lord moved in a mighty way at Piney Grove this Easter and he allowed it to happen through the hands and feet of YOU the members and volunteers. Thinking about all that was accomplished is absolutely amazing!

Here is just a glimpse:
  • Over $5,000 raised for Annie Armstrong Offering
  • Nearly 500 door hangers, 1,000 personal invite cards, 20 posters, and 300 flyers were distributed in our community.
  • Online posts and invites were shared with thousands of friends and neighbors
  • We had 400+ NEW people walk through our doors throughout Easter weekend
  • After a last minute call for help, 22 VOLUNTEERS OVERNIGHT stepped up to help with the Egg Hunt!!!
  • Much hard work was done outside on the grounds with mulching, planting, trimming, hauling off trash, and numerous other things.
  • Time & effort was put into buying groceries, cooking, & serving breakfast.
  • Candy was donated, thousands of eggs were stuffed, supplies were purchased, cups were filled, signs were hung, crafts were made, stories of Jesus were told, and food was served for Egg Hunt.
  • Behind the scenes we also had staff, musicians, sound team members, facility helpers, decorators, Sunday School teachers, and more making sure everything was just right.
  • Media center team held first kids cross decorating contest.
  • C.A.R.E. team invited ~60 new families that have recently moved into our area with personal notes of welcome and invitation.
  • Many, many others served in various roles.
It's impossible to list everything but folks...
YOU PRAYED with willing hearts,
YOU SHOWED UP with willing hands,
& YOU GAVE of yourselves unselfishly.

Praise the Lord, great things He hath done!
Hundreds of people experienced JESUS right here in our little corner of the county. Seeds were planted and the good news of Jesus was shared to children and adults alike. Even the tiniest treasures in our nursery felt God's love as they were tenderly cared for.
THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING... The Lord has prepared for us this day but this is just a stepping stone to what lies ahead as we obediently pray, listen, & respond. How exciting it is to be in the midst of the spirit moving in our community!

Here's the Plan
After seeing the awesome possibilities at our recent Egg Hunt event, we have decided to fling open the doors with willing hearts and ask God to SEND THE KIDS! We aren’t holding back, in fact, we are stepping out in faith that God has a mighty plan for reaching the children of our community this summer.
What does this mean for us? We need to PREPARE.
FIRST and foremost… please begin to PRAY for VBS, the leaders, the volunteers, the children, and all those in the community God will reach through PGBC. Please pray for enough provisions to serve those he sends. And most importantly... pray for each person to experience the gospel, seeds to be planted, and ultimately growth for the kingdom!
SECOND… we need additional FUNDS to allow us to reach more kids than usual. The average cost per child to attend VBS is approx. $20 which provides each child supplies for Bible lesson activities, crafts, snacks, take home music CD, and a t-shirt. Our current budget only covers approximately 80 kids and that’s how many kids we average from our own congregation & friends. This means any kids we reach from the community will cost above and beyond our regular budget. If you would like to give towards this effort, every penny helps! Please designate it for: Piney Grove KIDS MINISTRY. You can give through the offering on Sunday mornings, through your Sunday school classes, and online using PushPay.
THIRD… we need additional VOLUNTEERS. Click on the button to see the list of volunteer needs. It’s possible to serve in more than one way, so don’t limit yourself. For those who are home-bound or have limited mobility, we have things that can be done from home in advance.
It will take our entire church family to fulfill the challenge God’s putting before us.

Thank You Note
Thank you to all the WMU ladies and others who helped with the Mother/Daughter Tea on April 13. Thank you Nicole Currin for being the ladder climber to hang the umbrellas and kites. We really enjoyed Mary Poppins and Ms. Dee Penguin stopping by to visit with our mothers and daughters. Thank you GA's for the wonderful Mission Projects. This could not have been a success without the many hours that Susie Howell dedicated to helping me since January planning for the Tea. Thank you again for all the time, food and cleanup that each of you put into this event. I’m truly blessed to be a part of such a supportive group of WMU ladies. May God continue to bless each of you as you serve Him.
Thank you Terry Matthews for the beautiful Mary Poppins cards you made for the GA’s Tea Party. You always go above & beyond to make something special for the girls. They appreciate all the work you put into these cards and so do I.
Also, thank you Terri Hayner for coming to take pictures of the mothers and daughters. The girls were so excited that you were at the Tea to take their picture with Mary Poppins and Ms. Dee Penguin. Thanks again for using your talent to serve others.
                                                  In His Service!  Sandra King
To my beloved church family,
Thank you so much for all the love, support, prayers and gifts I received for my new home. It's been a long road but by the Grace of God and the love of PGBC, my prayer of having my own safe place to live has been answered. I'm so grateful and blessed by your generosity and outpouring of love. You all mean the world to me and I'm honored to be a part of this family, the best family I could've ever asked for!
Much Love, Rebekah Willis
