Mothers... the very word evokes descriptive thoughts - courageous, faithful, warrior, sacrificial, hard-working, devoted, and so many more.

Even though my mother did not know Jesus as her Savior while I was growing up, the Lord still blessed my life with her servant's heart and sacrificial actions. She came to salvation in her 50's, for which I am eternally grateful.

I am so thankful for her life and wish she could be here with me even for a few moments. She lived before me a "can do" attitude and was fearless in the face of challenges. Thank you, Mom, for instilling in me a boldness to go through life as an adventurer.

She was known as a woman of hospitality, passionate personality-plus, always saying "yes" to serving, and was a fanatic for good manners. Mom went home to her Beloved in February 2009 and is most likely bending His ear with a great story.

Let's focus on so many mothers struggling to care for their children throughout Eastern Europe in the midst of loss and grief. I pray for them to know His peace, comfort and courage. May the Lord bring an end to the senseless destruction and death in their homeland of Ukraine.

We are grateful for the opportunity to help provide Christian resources in the Ukrainian language to churches, missionaries and other nonprofit organizations as they minister to the refugees throughout Romania, Moldova and in Ukraine.
