Fast Facts:

Blessings in a Backpack is more than food. Since becoming a 501(c)(3) charitable organization in 2008, we've helped kids all over the country overcome challenges, thrive in the present, and look towards a brighter future.

During FY21, Blessings in a Backpack provided 2.2 million hunger-free weekends nationwide.

Let's keep growing and continue to prevent weekend hunger! Join the Blessings in a Backpack team by feeding the kids in your backyard.

Calling all teachers, room parents, and Troop leaders! Make your child’s Valentine’s Day party more than candy and cards and join Blessings in a Backpack to put love into action.

We've put together several activities and FREE resources for your party: including printable note cards (pictured) and videos of Blessings supporters — including Jennifer Garner — reading the children's storybook Maddi's Fridge.

Core News:

You'll read stories of generous donors and community and corporate partners, learn of our year-end fiscal results, and discover how, despite another unprecedented year, you helped provide 2.2 million hunger-free weekends to kids nationwide.
So many children today, across this country, are not getting enough food to eat; the nourishment they need to learn in school and grow into healthy, active adults. The role that you play by partnering with Blessings in a Backpack is critically important to helping these children. Our gratitude to you.

We could not do what we do without you.
