Upper School News
Good Afternoon Upper School Families,

The first week of school is nearly a wrap, and it's been a lively affair! Preschool all the way through 12th graders have had a wonderful start to the year. Our 9th graders and new students in particular have joined in the enthusiasm and energy that has been pervasive throughout the building. As you can see, I am very excited about this fabulous group of students, and look forward to a fantastic 2019/20 school year.

Here are a few important notes for the upcoming week:

Miniature School-Thursday, September 5th-5:45-8:30pm
This yearly event is a wonderful way to experience a (mini) day in the life of your students. You will meet the teachers, learn more about our signature programs and enjoy a taste of high school life. Ah, nostalgia.... We hope to see you there!

By next Wednesday, all students will have had a chance to choose their advisors. They will have their first advisory sessions on Thursday. Look for an e-mail from your student's advisor late next week. You will have the opportunity to meet your students' Advisors at Miniature Night as well.

College Night-Tuesday September 11 @ 6pm
At this meeting, our fabulous college counselor, Ms. Stacia Campbell, will share pertinent resources and essential facts about college choice, application procedures and strategies, and testing. Please RSVP to: scampbell@roycemoreschool.org.

Northwestern Center for Talent Development Opportunity!

Enjoy the holiday weekend!

Yours Truly,

Medical Forms
If your child is a new student, we must have copies of their Certificate of Child Health Exam and Proof of School Dental Exam and Eye Exam Report forms by the first day of school. If your child is returning to Roycemore and entering 9th grade, we must have copies of their Certificate of Child Health Exam form by the first day of school. These forms are available on our website at  https://roycemoreschool.org/parents/roycemore-school-parent-resources/  State law requires this form be on file by the first day of school and your child cannot attend school without them.

If you know your student will be absent on an upcoming day due to a medical appointment, college visit or other needed reason, please be sure to email: attendance@roycemoreschool.org. Students who will miss school should also take a form to their teachers for signatures and to get information on any classes they will miss. Forms are available in the Upper School office.
