A Curtain Call for All!

The Blizzard Foundation wants to extend a heartfelt 'Thank You' to everyone who made the Holiday Party a huge success. Our evening was sponsored by Twin Cities Orthopedics, Minnesota Youth Athletic Services (MYAS), and RE/MAX RESULTS Associate, Kevin Torgerson. In addition to our event sponsors, we had MANY community partners who eagerly contributed goods and services to make this event a success. Companies across the metro donated gift cards, silent auction baskets, desserts, wine, services, and more.

Chris Carr, local radio host from K102 emceed our event, lending his humor and baritone voice to the evening.

A small team of volunteers stepped up to the plate in a big way with an outpouring of support. Our volunteers readied the venue, welcomed our guests with a smooth check-in, and ensured everyone enjoyed the party.

Lastly, a 'Thank You' needs to go out to our more than 150 attendees who joined the party. The Blizzard Foundation would not be able to run without the ongoing support of our fans!

Hall of Fame Goal of $20,000 Almost Achieved

After the dust settled, proceeds from our holiday party were a bit short of our $20,000 goal. The $20,000 goal would have ensured two summer long baseball camps for kids in the East Saint Paul and also North Minneapolis.

There's still time to help us close the gap! A great way to do this is through company matched funds.  Does your employer match donations? Many companies match donations 1:1 or contribute based on volunteer hours. It might even be possible to match donations made earlier this year!  To find out if your employer provides a matching gifts program contact your human resource department or give us a call. We can help obtain program guidelines for your company. Click here for more information.

Of course you are welcome to help us close the gap with a final year-end gift of cash or stock. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Blizzard Foundation's executive director, Jeff Huth at Jeff.Huth@theblizzardfoundation.org

Proceeds Thrown Back into the Community

The Blizzard Foundation plans to use all holiday party proceeds in the community this upcoming summer. Our hope is to secure summer-long baseball camps for kids in East St. Paul and also North Minneapolis

All camps will include nutritional snacks and lunches, equipment, camp hats, t-shirts, and also a glove that every camper will get to bring home with them when summer comes to an end.

The Blizzard Foundation will be hosting camps once a week for 8 weeks throughout the summer. The summer-long camp ensure positive relationships are being formed and life lessons are being taught through the game of baseball. All camps will be run by top coaches throughout the Twin Cities.
