Join Pastor Sheila and Fr Christian after church this Sunday, Feb 11 at Wesley Chapel AME Church, 224 S Fredericksburg St for a celebration of Absalom Jones, Richard Allen, and our shared history and tradition. Youth from both parishes will talk about the first black priest of the Episcopal Church (Absalom Jones) and his best friend and founder of the AME church (Richard Allen), along with hymns by the St Mark's choir, and some fellowship time with refreshments.

Lenten Soup and Poets

Our Wednesday night Lenten offering kicks off in a big way with The Poetry Foundation's Young People's Poet Laureate from 2019-2022. Naomi Shihab Nye is part of the TXST MFA faculty and a world renowned poet. We are over the moon she'll be joining us in the parish hall for soup and wonderful discussions about her poetry and how our spiritual lives impact the creative and receptive process.

Adult Confirmation Class Sunday | Feb 11 at 10am | Parish Hall

It's not too late to jump back in or join us for the first time. We'll be talking about baptism and the Eucharist this Sunday, so please join us for a little interactive learning.

Notes from your Music Director

This spring the choirs at St. Mark’s are busy preparing for Lent and Easter. They are just around the corner! You won’t want to miss being a part of all the beautiful music we are preparing to offer to the Glory of God and for the enriching of our worship together. If you have been considering joining one of the choirs, now is a good time. You have a place at the table and in the choir.

The Diaper Pantry is getting low and we need your help!

Diapers are an essential item for families and one that is not provided or covered by government assistance programs like SNAP or WIC. For the last 4 years, this ministry has grown into a community staple and support network for 300+ families in our community. Please help us continue this vital ministry by donating to our fund using the link below, or bringing in a box of diapers to add to the pantry. Thanks so much for supporting the littlest members of the St. Mark's Community!
