We know that access to and engagement with books at a young age is critical to child development. Thanks to the Marine Toys for Tots program with its local collaborator The UPS Store in Colonial Square Mall in Wayzata, Bloom has been blessed with $1500 in new books!

This is the 13^th year of The UPS Store’s Toys for Tots Literacy Program, where they accept book donations from the public and distribute them to those in need. Mary Olsen, Center Director at Bloom’s County Road 6 & Highway 101 location was overwhelmed by this exciting news. “In my years at Bloom I have never witnessed this many new books at one time! The books have a large variety of wonderful topics…. I am thrilled by the robust quality of the story content we received. This is a dream come true for the teaching staff to have a large variety to choose from when supporting conversations and learning opportunities around transitions, kindness, and empathy.… Providing an opportunity for a child at any age to explore a diverse literature independently supports a strong foundation for the years to come.”

The UPS Store collects donations year-round and appreciates the opportunity to work with Marine Toys for Tots while creating an impact in their local community with the support of that community.
