Bloom at Belfair, a premier family-owned and operated Independent Living and Memory Care community in Bluffton, South Carolina, is back and back blooming. There is no other way to describe the energy within the community, the smiles on the residents' faces and the friendly, family environment.
With COVID-19 behind us, the community has fully and safely reopened. The residents are back to enjoying community life and dining with friends, our new life enrichment program and center, indoor and outdoor visitation from family and friends, resident and family outings, and so much more! With the vaccine clinics completed and 95% of the residents vaccinated, we've lifted remaining restrictions, including mask wearing (in Independent Living) and restricting indoor visitation to certain designated areas (you can visit in resident suites). The community remains not only open, but safe with zero cases of COVID-19.
The residents' days are busy. If they're not making Bananas Foster with Chef Herb, enjoying Lobster Mac and Cheese or crowding around the new omelet bar on Wednesday mornings, they're loving happy hour around the new fire pit, picnics in Oyster Factory Park, cruising on the May River, kicking back to the 1920s with a roaring Speakeasy party and shopping excursions! The Enlighten Program in the Memory Care is changing the way we can care for our residents with dementia and having such a positive impact. Check out Facebook!
We've welcomed lots of new residents and families since reopening and our residents are enjoying all their new friends. Everyone is loving the socialization again!
