Dear Bloom Residents, Families & Friends:

On May 9, 2020, it was confirmed that an associate of Bloom at Kokomo in Kokomo, IN tested positive for COVID-19. The associate has not been in the community since May 5, 2020. The associate developed symptoms on May 6, 2020, notified Bloom at that time and was tested by the Department of Health. She has been self-quarantined at home since that time, and her symptoms have abated. The associate remains on paid leave. No residents or other associates have tested positive or experienced symptoms. We informed residents, their family members and associates of Bloom at Kokomo regarding the foregoing. We spoke to every family member today/tonight and appreciate the overwhelming support from everyone. We're diligently monitoring our residents and associates for signs and symptoms, and will work directly with local health officials to help ensure our residents and associates have the appropriate and necessary medical support if necessary.

Bloom continues to be extremely pro-active, aggressive and transparent in protecting our residents and communicating with our residents, families and associates in real time.

Other than this isolated incident, we still have no other known cases in our Bloom communities.
