The Enlighten Program is in Full Swing at Bloom at Belfair!

Bloom at Belfair, our family-owned and operated Independent Retirement Living and Memory Care community in Bluffton, has partnered with the Weston Group to not only provide Outpatient Therapy (Physical, Speech and Occupational), but to continue improving our differentiated "Enlighten" Memory Care program. Belfair's Enlighten program provides an individualized ability-based therapy program intended to provide customized care for our residents with dementia. Enlighten maximizes safety and improves quality of life. The Belfair Team has been receiving additional and specialized training this week! Our residents greatly benefit from this program and we're excited to continue rolling it out to all the new families coming in! Just some of the benefits include: a focus upon functional and practical real-life tasks; determining the current cognitive and skill levels for each resident; and setting functional goals designed to reduce fall risk, maximize independence and decrease unwanted problem behaviors, anxiety and agitation. Enlighten is covered under Medicare and most other insurances! As we have been messaging, Bloom is moving beyond COVID-19. We have zero resident cases of COVID-19, and our residents have been vaccinated. Life is now returning to normal and Bloom is back focused on our programming, life enrichment, dining and other new and exciting programs -- Enlighten is just one of them! The residents are back to living in a non-restrictive, yet safe environment full of laughter, love, fun and personalized care.
