Dear Bloom at Bossier Residents, Families & Friends:
As you know, we sent a detailed report last Friday October 9, 2020 (that can again be accessed here). We indicated that Bloom at Bossier moved into Phase II Plus of our reopening plan, which means that residents were enjoying, for example, group activities, communal dining with friends, outside entertainment and outdoor visitation in a socially distant and responsible manner pursuant to our infection control guidelines. We also indicated that because of a positive associate case of COVID-19, activities and visitation were temporarily suspended until testing is complete, we confirm there are no new cases and 14 days have passed. Our goal was, and remains, to move the community into Phase III once it's safe, so we can commence indoor visitation. We lastly indicated that we should all anticipate that this is going to a fluid and non-linear process. We may have to start, stop and re-start parts of our reopening plan over the coming days, weeks and months depending on where the virus takes us. That said, we want you to know that we're committing to you that we'll do the hard work operationally (and everything within our control) to keep you connected with your loved ones and ensure our residents are safe and emotionally blooming.
We wanted to touch base and update you that we currently have one positive associate and one positive (asymptomatic) resident case. We're still testing and retesting, but have received 120 results back thus far and our positive occurrence rate remains very low.
The residents are in good spirits and everyone understands this is part of the journey to keeping everyone safe. Our local team has tried contacting every family by telephone. We'll continue to communicate by telephone and/or in writing.
Sincerely,
Scott and Tony Kantor, Bradley Dubin & Laurie Manno
