From Woodbury Parks and Recreation | |
Dear Woodbury,
Spring is finally here, and with that it means your Parks and Recreation department is as busy as ever.
This past weekend we had our annual Spring Egg Hunt at Hollow Park. Although we wish the weather was warmer, we had a lovely event with the help of Boy Scout Troop 480 and our sponsor, D’Amico Pettinicchi Injury Lawyers. Events like this would not be possible without the support we get from the community, so I am very grateful for how much the residents of this town pitch in for recreational opportunities.
Now that April is here, it means the 32nd Annual Earth Day is rapidly approaching. Our biggest event of the year is shaping up very nicely, with both Judy and Linda working tirelessly to pull everything together for the town. I want to thank our volunteers on the Earth Day Committee as well for all of their support in making this year’s celebration one to remember. If anyone is interested in volunteering during this event, please reach out to us. I’m looking forward to seeing many of you at the event, and I hope you all keep your fingers crossed for good weather on April 25th.
In the world of programs, we have a new offering for parents and young children in our Early Childhood Music Therapy class starting on April 21st. We also have our Corn Husk Flower workshop on April 15th. In addition, there is a free course on learning to play disc golf on Tuesdays starting April 21st. Please check out the rest of this newsletter and our website for more details on everything we have to offer this month.
With the weather getting warmer and the days getting longer, I hope many of you will take advantage and spend some time in our parks. Whether you want to hike the trails at the Trolley Bed Preserve, spend some time with your kids at the playground at Hollow Park, or walk your dog at Three Rivers Park, there are great opportunities to get outside and enjoy the season. Please note that the Hollow Park restrooms are still closed for renovations, more information will follow once we are able to open those to the public again.
Sincerely,
Graham Musson

A Sweet Start to Spring!
Thank you to everyone who joined us at Hollow Park this past Saturday for our Spring Egg Hunt. It was a fun morning filled with lots of smiles, excitement, and a whole lot of eggs!
| | A big thank you to D'Amico & Pettinicchi Injury Lawyers for their generous support in helping make this event possible! As a local firm serving the Woodbury community, their willingness to give back in such a meaningful way speaks volumes - supporting not just an event, but the families, traditions, and shared moments that make our community so special. | |
