April is when several attractions really start to open up and extend their hours. Below, find some examples of extended hours or April deals. Click on the name of the attraction to head over to their website for more information.

The Blowing Rock Attraction: Will be open until 7:00 PM starting in April.

High Gravity Adventures: April 1-16 open Wednesday - Sunday 11am - 5pm. April 17 - May 25 open Friday by advance reservation and Saturday & Sunday from 10am - 6pm

Sky Valley Zip Tours: Open 7 days a week.

Tweetsie Railroad: Opens April 8 and the Easter Bunny will be in attendance April 8&9.

Grandfather Mountain: April is "Dollar Days" at Grandfather Mountain. Residents and employees working in Ashe, Alleghany, Avery, Mitchell, Wilkes, and Watauga counties and their guests (in the same vehicle) can get admission to Grandfather Mountain for just $5 per person. Online registration is required.

Southern Highland Craft Guild at Moses Cone Manor - Opens April 14

Art in the Park Returns

May 20

This juried art show brings 90 artists to Blowing Rock. There are 6 shows from May to October each year. Enjoy perusing fine art from paintings, to photographs, to pottery, and everything in between.

Artists in Residence Begins

May 27

Artists in Residence begins once again at Edgewood Cottage, featuring new artists each week. Showing art from painting, ceramics, fiber, to leather, there is something for just about anyone on any given week.

Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show

June 8-11

The Horse Show is celebrating 100 years this year! This is the Saddlebred Division of the competition. Expect chrome and flash as horses and riders show us what they've got in the ring.
