We can't wait for Blue Birds to start next month!
I have a few reminders for you and some new information about the upcoming school year.
- If you haven't already, your payment MUST be submitted by August 1st, as stated in your contract. This payment can be made over the phone by calling (314) 738-2599 or you can make it in person at the Community Center. **If you fail to make your payment your spot will be forfeited and will go to the next student on our waiting list**
- You can find our Blue Birds Handbook here.
- Starting the week of August 15th, we have time slots available for you to bring your child up so we can perform our beginning of the year assessments. You can use this form to select a date and time that works for you. Please make only ONE date and time selection!
- School supplies: we will provide almost everything your child needs for the year. The only thing we require you to bring is a regular sized backpack (large enough to fit a binder), a water bottle, and a complete change of clothing in their bags. We will have a list of donations throughout the year for things we use a lot of.
- We have 2 different Orientations coming up! You must attend one of the orientations scheduled. The first one will be on Wednesday, August 17th at 5:30pm, and the second on will be on Thursday, August 25th at 6:00 pm. You can RSVP to the orientation that you will be attending below.
**If neither of these dates works for you, you can contact me at kharvey@marylandheights.com or at (314) 738-2547.
During Orientation we will be discussing many things and getting you set up for our program! You will also have time to ask questions, meet some of the teachers, and tour the space.
Before orientation, you can get your account set up on our check in system by clicking on the link below.
Kid Check is how we will be signing your child in and out of our daily program and will also contain all of their emergency information.
- You must include any adults that are allowed to pick your child up along with pictures of everyone. This must be completed before the first day of school.
- Do not set a PIN as you will not need this for our program
- Make sure to include any allergy information or food restrictions.
- If you attended Busy Bees Summer Camp at any point during the summer your account has been created and you can skip this!
During orientation you will receive a paper to register for SeeSaw.
SeeSaw is our daily communication app that we will be using to send pictures, videos, and messages. At orientation you will receive a paper with your individual code to connect with your child's class.
We will discuss both of these more in-depth during orientation.
This was a lot of information so thank you for reading all the way through!
The important things to do now are:
- RSVP below for one of the orientations
- Sign up for one assessment spot
- Register your child and family on Kid Check
- Attend orientation and bring your supplies that evening
- Make your first payment by August 1st
If you have any questions you can contact me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
